Director of Sales

My career started as an engineer developing products for the IT and telecommunication industry in South Africa. My transition to sales began when I moved to France to engage in technical sales of complex IT products that would be used in some of the world’s largest telecommunication companies.

After joining Intel Corporation in 2000, I transitioned through various sales and sales leadership positions across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, spending too much time away from my family and everything that is truly more important in life. I am grateful for the opportunities I had and everything I was able to learn from incredible leaders and mentors, but it was time for a change. In 2017, I quit the corporate world, and we packed everything we owned into a container, shipped it across the Atlantic Ocean, and moved to the US to be closer to my wife’s family.

Over the last six years as an outsourced sales leader, I combined my passion for sales, leadership development, and serving amazing growing businesses like True North Gear, which are the lifeblood of our economy.

I joined True North Gear in 2021 as the Sales Director and have had the privilege of working with an incredible team of sales professionals who have more than doubled the adoption of our product with our Utility and Wildland Fire clients, exceeding the expectations of our clients with amazing products. My approach to growth and challenges is encapsulated by the quote "It only seems impossible until it is done," by Nelson Mandela. 

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and gardening.
