In these especially difficult times with budgets being cut to the bone it’s critical that firefighters continue to get the training to stay safe and ensure the safety of others. In that spirit True North is pleased to announce our first Training Weekend in October 2013 in Springfield, Ohio. For two days True North with OnScene Training will be offering lectures and a full day of hands-on training (HOT) related to Commercial Firefighting Operations.

Saturday Oct. 5th will feature two lectures at Clark Community College led by leaders in the fire industry: District Chief Kevin Maloney, Worcester FD, Lt. Steve Gillespie, FDNY and Carl Haddon, National Training Director for the 5 Star Training Academy. Topics will include New Vehicle Technology and Tips for Engine and Truck Company Officers and Firefighters that will inspire immediate changes within your department.

The second day, Sunday Oct. 6th, will include a full day of hands-on training at the former Springfield Mercy Hospital, led by 16 different instructors going over topics such as: Forcible Entry, V.E.S (aerial), Mid-rise fires, Standpipe Ops, and many more.

And because one of the most important aspects of firefighting is the brotherhood, Saturday evening at the Courtyard Springfield Marriot we'll be hosting a meet-and-greet with the instructors, which is really just an excuse to get together watch the Ohio State game, eat some food, and drink some beers. All on us!

We've kept your cost minimal as a gift to you and our way of saying thank you for protecting our communities. Pay $25 to attend the Saturday Lectures and $75 for both Saturday and the Sunday H.O.T. classes.

Spaces are limited for the H.O.T classes so get your spot today!
