A number of events in the fire and utility industries have been cancelled, or postponed due to health & safety concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. Below is an exhaustive list of the events that we have current information for regarding its status of cancellation or any postponed dates. Additionally, this information will be mirrored, and updated frequently on our events page as more news arises.


Date(s): March 18th-19th

Status: POSTPONED until November 18th-19th

Wildland Urban Interface

Date(s): March 24th-25th

Status: POSTPONED to November 4th-5th


Date(s): April 7th-9th, 2020

Status: POSTPONED. There is no further information on postpone dates at this time.

WEI Engineering & Ops Conference

Date(s): April 14th-17th

Status: This conference is now being served as a virtual event.


East Date(s): April 18th

East Status: POSTPONED. The postpone date remains undetermined at this time.

West Status: There are currently no changes for the Carolinas West Rodeo. The schedule will be reevaluated in the coming weeks (as of March, 2020).

FDIC International 2020

Date(s): April 20th, 2020

Status: POSTPONED. There is currently no selected postpone date. The FDIC website will be updated when new information arises.

The 2020 Leavenworth Firefighter Challenge

Date(s): April 25th

Status: CANCELLED. The event will not take place this year but will be brought back for 2021.

L.A. Lineman's Rodeo

BC Fire Expo

Date(s): June 7th


Latest Update: The FCABC Executive, in consultation with the Conference Committee and Trades Directors, have made the decision to not hold the 2020 BC Fire Expo and FCABC Education Summit this year as planned. Those that have registered can opt for a full refund or transfer their registration to next year's BC Fire Expo and Education Summit being held in Penticton on June 6-10, 2021.
